I am Messy Jessy, the main blogger of our site. I blog about the everyday happenings of my kids, home, and my quest to balance simplicity and chaos.
Just a Blink, the title of my blog, refers to the idea when we take our last breath on Earth, our lives will have seemed like ‘Just a Blink’ of the eye. Therefore, my heart longs to fuel a family and community life, that keeps an eternal perspective, while living this temporal life to the fullest.
I accept adventurous activities, daily duties and creative challenges with vigor until the lure of distraction takes over. I love photography, nature, creativity, frugal finds, and movies.
Life as I know it inspires me to dream, design and then discuss.
In case you were wondering– My favorite snacks are Swedish Fish, chocolate covered pretzels and root beer.

Daddy McWilliams
This is Neat Pete, he’s a dude. He is much more orderly than I am.
He:
- is not afraid of heights
- has wicked bow staff skills
- can do a lot of push ups in a row
- is an involved father
- is a devoted husband
- is a grade A web developer
- loves gadgets
- is an undiscovered race car driver
His favorite snacks are dill pickle chips, old man candy and sweet tea.

The Boy
Ryan is positive, hyper and funny.
He is a preschooler with communication style.
He winks when something happens that is awesome.
He gives the thumbs-up sign when someone does something super.
He give double high fives when he has worked really hard on his goal and accomplished it!
He gives ‘nucks (knuckles) when he is feeling confident.
His favorite snacks are…he’ll eat everything except mushrooms and coffee.

The Girl
Molly is moody, meticulous and so-much-like-us-we-can’t-stand-it!
She is 50/50 kid with the squared off chin from Peter and the attitude roller coaster from me to prove it!
She loves kitties, chasing Ryan and snuggling on her terms for 10 seconds or less.
She’ll melt the heart of anyone near as long as they are doing what she wants of course.
Her favorite snacks are whatever anyone else is eating.
